I think the heat’s making the hedgies extra clumsy.
Stayed up again and finally caught Tristram at 3:50am. I couldn’t find anything wrong with his foot and even wondered if I’d caught the right hog as he shot off into the garden when I released him. He certainly seems far more agile than he was a couple of days ago.
Stayed up all night, but no sign of Tristram. Did check one hog who I’d suspected had a gluey eye, but on closer inspection he was fine.
With a limp?
Outside timestamp failed so will try a new battery tonight. Baldy-nose (who I call ‘Sparky’) didn’t show. Typical bully!
You might not think it to look at him, but last night we got 89 ticks off the poor little chap! Hopefully he’ll uncurl enough tonight to get the rest off his face.
