The successful release of our male hog who had a nasty abscess on his bottom before receiving expert care from our friends at Gower Bird Hospital
Well, we thought so, so we captured him the very next night and rushed him off to the Hedgehog Hospital. He had over 30g of pus removed from the abscess and a long course of antibiotics. The treatment was a great success and you can watch his return on DualCam 585 – The Return
Stayed up all night, but no sign of Tristram. Did check one hog who I’d suspected had a gluey eye, but on closer inspection he was fine.
One down, two to go!
Guinness was like a new hog when we brought him in for his second de-ticking. He didn’t curl up once, and was quite a handful as we removed another 33 ticks from his face and fur.
You might not think it to look at him, but last night we got 89 ticks off the poor little chap! Hopefully he’ll uncurl enough tonight to get the rest off his face.
